Our alpine breakfast
The summer classic
Start your day with our hearty alpine breakfast, the summer classic for connoisseurs. Our extensive selection includes sausage, ham, various cheeses, fresh butter, homemade jams and honey. Enjoy a fresh fruit salad, various egg variations – whether fried, scrambled or soft-boiled – as well as Gugelhupf from our wood-fired oven. We also serve homemade bread made from sourdough, Semmerl and Kornspitz. The breakfast experience is rounded off with coffee, tea or hot chocolate, fresh orange juice and an invigorating glass of sparkling wine.
Pre-order by telephone no later than the day before. Monday and Tuesdays no breakfast is served due to the day off.

Hut evenings
Romantic evenings all year round
Experience romantic evenings on the Sonn Alm when the sun has set behind the mountains and the sky is filled with stars. Our hut evenings are available all year round on advance booking and offer the perfect setting for group events and social gatherings. Manuela and Christoph will spoil you with culinary specialties such as hearty pork knuckles, juicy ribs, a Styrian baked chicken feast, the Sonn Alm house platter as well as cold platters and more. After dinner, we invite you to an atmospheric torchlight hike into the valley, an unforgettable experience that combines community and conviviality.

For a well-deserved break during your stay, we offer you an extensive daily menu full of delicious dishes. Our dishes range from traditional Austrian delicacies such as Wiener Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn to homemade specialties such as our popular Sonn Alm burger. Each dish is prepared with fresh, regional ingredients and promises an authentic taste experience against the picturesque backdrop of Saalbach’s mountain landscape.

Christophs Foodcorner
Christoph’s Foodcorner is open every Tuesday in winter directly in front of our cozy Sonn Alm. Enjoy the best regional cuisine and treat yourself to homemade specialties and seasonal dishes. Whether you just need a short break or want to recharge your batteries for the next runs – you will always find a warm meal and a friendly atmosphere here. Drinks are available right next door at Manuela’s self-service hut.

After eventful hours on the slopes or for a refreshing break in between – at Manuela’s self-service hut, directly in front of the Sonn Alm, you will find just the right thing. We offer you a wide selection of drinks and snacks: whether it’s a warming mulled wine, a tangy drink or a small snack for your stomach – there’s guaranteed to be something for everyone. Enjoy the warm winter sun on our deckchairs and watch the hustle and bustle on the slopes.
